Ok, thank you Smiling

Even if i'm a newbie to dnb production i would say the best thing to do is just have fun and use what you're comfortable with...Don't spend to much time searching for tools...HAVE FUN

Hey man,
Its quite hard to suggest a sequencer, because that is quite a personal choice, maybe try out a few demos, i always suggest the ones that ive learnt most from.

fl is cool because you can use vst's and the step sequencer is an easy and fun way to get grooves going, but i struggled to get a full sound with it.

acid pro is awsome because audio editing and vst's are very simple, making it fun and fast to chop breaks and especially sampling.

abelton is sick, brilliant for live manipulation of sound and awsome to sample, chop and use vst's, i think of it like acid pro on acid Laughing out loud

reason is prob my most fave because i know it best, plus using rex files is so quick and fun with the nnxt, recycle and reason is prob the fastest way i know of chopping and sequencing breaks, but recycle isnt as good sounding as chopping audio manually (that also depends on how good your chopping skills are)

cubase is the big daddy, is really powerful and clean! it is best imo to rewire any of these appz reccomended before with cubase because it seems to sound a bit better.

try some demos bro, or do lots of reading on the forums!!!

good luck,

peace

music is what?

Im assuming you are using pc as you would have said otherwise. Anyway i used flstudio for years and when i was at uni my lectures would give me greif and tell me to use logic etc.

However i used logic at uni and always thought that anything logic could do i could find a work around in fruity to do the same thing and quicker.

I eventually moved onto logic and realised how wrong i was. And one you learn the short cut keys you'll find it is actually much faster.

Ive also used reason a fair bit, cubase a bit, pro-tools a lot(the best for audio but the midi is shit) and many others so If your using pc i would personally recommend Cubase.
