Maybe I have lost my objectivity as I have tweaked this track so long. I haven't sent to any labels but maybe I will. The goal would be to make it to the established DnB labels but can I ask is this good enough as its stands?

I'd like to get some views on what I can improve on in order to make it to the big guns. As I say, its all part of the learning curve.

just work to make it more powerful.
i think it lacks some extra needed energy/RMS.
just compress a bit more, add more moving shakers/hats,
make the kick & snare more cutting thru, dont forget extra
snap for snare, it's too smooth.

What exactly have you done here?

You obviously had to use the full mix but did you add xtra kick and snare also or just using FX?

Even the hats u added. Are these from a softsynth? I've juts got Battery 3 but waiting for a bug update to use it. I am only recently getting away from using drumloops.

i'm not so against loops.
i use everything that adds to the sound.

so in that case i've layered some lite dnb beat
mostly with hats. it added nice roll, cause
original hats isnt sounding loud/rolling enuff.
the snare got also better because the beat has
nice lil one with sharp attack.

then i noticed there's no a kick cutting thru.
i've added 2 one shots. first with the long decay
second with noisy obvious attack.

i didnt bother much then.
just added spectralive exciter + multiband master -2.4 limiter preset to master to get all the stuff loud.

Dang! I use SKYPE here. Can't get MSN in work. Will try a suss it though.

Will study this file 2night and try and disect it. I know its only a quick job you did but its things that I seem to neglect when writting.

OK, I no probs reproducing Kicks, snares but as i posted before I struggling getting rolling hats. Batty3 should help me soon though.

As for the plugs you used.. not sure of them. I have WAVES L2 and master with this but Muliband is a struggle for me. I'm never sure what and when to compress. L2 is not multiband but I have WAVES C4 which is. Let me be sure... you used a preset on the multiband plug?

OK some things to look at there. I will do my best to get MSN. Really wanna follow through on this. Serious! eye opener!

"not 24db/octave or so"

"i dont mean frequency space, i mean digital domain audio space... cause all freqs are sharing same 32bits"
